Are my PDF files uploaded to a server?
No. PeppyPDF runs entirely in your browser. Opening, editing, merging, compressing and exporting all happen on your own device — your documents are never sent anywhere.
Is PeppyPDF really free?
Yes. All editing tools are free, with no account, no watermarks added to your documents, and no artificial file limits.
Can I edit text that is already in my PDF?
Yes — choose the Edit text tool, click the line you want to change, and retype it. PeppyPDF covers the original and places your replacement on top using a closely matching font. It's ideal for fixing dates, names and typos.
Can I password-protect a PDF?
Yes. Exports can be encrypted with AES-256, and you control whether readers may print, edit or copy content. You can also remove a password from a file you own the password to.
Does it work on my phone?
